Created in part of my 2020 12-Month Series, comprised of twelve 60cm by 80cm oil paintings, April depicts a bundle of cherry blossoms, whom which, every year announce to me the arrival of spring. These particular cherry blossoms are from High Park in Toronto, which I photographed in 2017, and it was interesting for me to bring these small subjects to life once again on a large scale.
