Created in part of my 2020 12-Month Series, comprised of twelve 60cm by 80cm oil paintings, July depicts a summer day at the Gorges du Verdon in the south of France. The colourful chaos of all the boats and kayaks exploring the gorge made an interesting and fun composition. I was visiting my best friend there, and it was the first time in months that things felt “normal” since the COVID-19 pandemic started.
